Dr Alex Connock is Fellow in Management Practice (Marketing) at Oxford University’s Said Business School, and Lecturer in Management at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. He is also Senior Tutor at the National Film and Television School of the Creative Entrepreneurship Masters programme, and entrepreneur in residence at European Business School INSEAD. His PhD was about video for eCommerce. In his earlier career as a media executive he was six times shortlisted as Entrepreneur of the Year, and Chief Executive of the group that delivered the Teachers TV project to the UK government, one of the earliest at-scale video education projects globally. He is a board member at UNICEF UK and the Halle Orchestra. He specialises in the fast-growing global space where digital marketing and entertainment converge.
