Pavan Deep Singh is a second-generation British Asian whose parents came to Britain from Punjab in the 1960s. Growing up between two cultures, he became fascinated by family, identity and belonging. He began writing while teaching at a sixth-form college, creating stories featuring Asian characters and experiences that readers could recognise as their own. His writing celebrates the humour, complexity and occasional awkwardness of lives lived between cultures.
