Welcome to this festive feast of fiction!
Soon you may well be indulging in at least one deadly sin during this time of excessive eating, drinking and other indulgencies. I refer, of course, to sloth. That wickedly enjoyable inability to move oneself after third helpings of the brandy-soaked Xmas pud.
So, while you’re somewhat comatose, what better way to continue relaxing than ponder one or more of our super seasonal suggestions.
MEET OUR AUTHORS
A little to our surprise our Meet Our Authors series has turned out to be a big hit with 100’s of likes and impressions on our social media channels (see at foot of this newsletter).
In the series, I go ‘behind the scenes’ and interview each author to learn a little more of background, influences, and motivations that drove them to create the literature they have.
So, for those that may have missed them, here are the seven we’ve published so far:
No.1 – Paul Davies
In this edition Julian Costley, publisher at Bite-Sized Books talks to author Paul Davies about his new novel, 2084 – Discovering Amblytopia, which we’ve just published at Bite-Sized Books, and about his other publications, his passion for the works of George Eliot, and his motivations and influences – from his time in India to his idyllic view of kingfishers from his Thameside garden.
No.2 – Atima Srivastava
In this, the second of our series Meet Our Authors, Julian talks to Atima about her early years in India, being a film editor, her screenwriting successes, and her love of writing (and cooking).
We hear about her disciplined approach to plot creation, and her methodology to get manuscripts finished, all topped off with advice to the next generation of writers!

As if she wasn’t busy enough, we hear how Yue is now playing an increasing role in politics.
In this edition Julian talks to author Farrokh Suntook about his novel, The People We Know – published by Bite-Sized Books – the potential of it becoming a film, how he approaches writing, and about his career before becoming a novelist.
No.5 John Mair
In this edition Julian talks to editor, journalist, and TV producer John Mair about his prolific book output, his eminent TV career, his empathy with, and determination to support, Guyana, and his pearls of wisdom for budding editors and journalists.
No.6 Angela Antetomaso
In this edition Julian talks to author, journalist, TV presenter, and life coach Angela Antetomaso about her book A Year of Pandemic in New York: The Fall and Rise of the Big Apple – published by Bite-Sized Books – her career in television journalism, and what happened when she interviewed Richard Branson.
