Peter Weil

Peter Weil started work on children’s programmes almost six decades ago when he first played a dog on the BBC Home Service’s Children’s Hour and progressed to the role of Minoru a Japanese boy who was kidnapped.
He then spent more than 40 years in broadcasting. His experience includes Head of Youth Programmes for BBC Northern Ireland; executive producer for Wogan; senior vice president, Discovery Networks International; and CEO, CTVC which is part of the Rank Foundation.
He is currently the CEO of the Northern Ireland based Politics in Action, which offers shared education classes in politics to secondary schools and he is a governor of Stranmillis University College.
