Marcus Ryder is an award-winning executive producer at Caixin Global, China’s leading financial publication. He is a visiting professor in media diversity at Birmingham City University and was a core member of the executive committee to launch the Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity.

He has worked in television for more than 25 years. For eight years he oversaw BBC Scotland’s current affairs documentaries where he formulated his ideas on the importance of diverse representation championing communities as opposed to simply increasing the representation of different types of individuals.
