Dr Victoria McCollum is an award-wining lecturer in Cinematic Arts at Ulster University, Northern Ireland, and has previously held positions at BBC, ITV, MTV and HBO. She has published several cutting-edge books on film, media and television, such as HBO’s Original Voices: Race, Gender, Sexuality and Power (2018); Make America Hate Again: Trump-Era Horror and the Politics of Fear (2019); and #Resist: Protest and Resistance Media in Trump-Era USA (2020). Victoria believes in engaging students as partners and is dedicated to creating transformative learning opportunities for her students encouraging them to develop their own identities as filmmakers, producers and content creators.
