Michael Gilson is a former newspaper editor of, among others, the Belfast Telegraph, The Scotsman, and The News, Portsmouth. He now works in communications. He is an associate fellow of the School of Media, Film, and Music at the University of Sussex, and has recently graduated with a Masters in Garden and Landscape History at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London.
