Andrew Beck has worked in Further and Higher education for over four decades. His research interests include communication and design education, cultural work, unpopular music and film, and the impact of the environment on consciousness. He has undertaken significant work in the field of transnational education, working with partners in the Caribbean, China, the Netherlands, the USA, South Korea, and Spain. He has served as co-director of joint research centres in design and innovation, has curated exhibitions in China, the UK, and the USA, and is a member of the Scientific Review Committee of the Society of Engineering Designers.
