Tom Bradshaw

Tom Bradshawstudied philosophy at the University of Cambridge and now combines academic posts with a career as a freelance sports writer and broadcaster. He has written for national titles across South Africa and the UK, including The Times, The Guardian and Times Literary Supplement. He is a regular co-commentator and pundit for the BBC’s rugby coverage. He is senior lecturer in the School of Media at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham, and earlier this year published, with Daragh Minogue, Sports Journalism: The State of Play (Routledge, 2020). His research focuses on media ethics and in 2018 he guest edited an issue of The International Journal of Communication Ethics that focused on ethical issues affecting sports journalism. He has published numerous papers and articles on media law, pedagogy and philosophy.
