The Cloud Factory

Description

When a new factory opens and the river dries up, Jacob and Lucy are worried. Meanwhile, the factory that makes clouds closes, Lucy’s mum loses her job, and Jacob’s favourite ice cream disappears from the shops.

But when the children find baby dragons living in a nearby pond, they write to a famous naturalist about their discovery. Signs go up around the place, the big factory is stopped, and the cloud factory reopens – and Jacob’s favourite ice cream is available again.

Emma Woollacott is a freelance journalist living in Oxford, who usually writes about much less interesting things than paddling in ponds and eating ice cream. She’s been drawing all her life, but this is her first illustrated book. Emma has two daughters, who are, sadly, much too old for this book now.
