George Eustice MP
Politician
George Eustice grew up on a fruit farm in Cornwall, where his family still farms, and was a public relations executive before being elected in as a Conservative MP for Cambourne and Redruth in 2010.
After serving in the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select committee from 2010-2013, he became an advisor to then-Prime Minister David Cameron on energy and environment issues.
George was made Minister of State for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in 2015, a position he resigned from in February 2019 in protest of Prime Minister Theresa May’s promise to allow MPs a vote on delaying Brexit if her deal failed to get through.
