Ben Mooreis Assistant Professor of English Literature at the University of Amsterdam, where he teaches a range of BA and MA courses, including ‘George Eliot and the Realist Novel’. He has published widely on Victorian literature, including in the journals Victorian Literature and Culture, MLR, The Gaskell Journal and Dickens Quarterly. He is working on a monograph entitled Invisible Architecture, which deals with cities and architecture in nineteenth-century literature.
