Deborah Bonetti is Director of the Foreign Press Association (FPA) in London. She started working for an Italian radio station while studying for her first degree in English at UCL. She then freelanced for various news outlets and became deputy football correspondent for Gazzetta dello Sport (a leading sports daily newspaper in Italy). After getting married, gaining an MA and having a child, she moved on to Il Giorno, a daily Italian broadsheet (now compact), covering mainly politics and culture as its UK correspondent. She was President of the FPA from 2016 to 2018 before becoming its Director.
