Eri Satoh

Eri Satoh earned a Ph.D. in English Literature from Kobe College in 2017 and she is now a part-time lecturer of English in the Department of English at Kobe College, Japan.
Her research interests include British women’s fiction of the 19th century, especially George Eliot. In her doctoral thesis, she examined the descriptions of the heroines’ visual experiences in George Eliot’s novels, using George Henry Lewes’s epistemological and psychological arguments. One of her recent articles is entitled “Self-Restoration and Imagination in ‘Janet’s Repentance’ : Georg Eliot’s Response to George Henry Lewes’s Arguments on Perception” printed in The George Eliot Review of Japan 2017.
