Bob Muscuttborn in Nuneaton, studied in Exeter and Leicester, UK, and has lived in Germany for over 40 years. Primarily a George Eliot enthusiast and researcher, his interests cover the long nineteenth century, and he has had articles appear in the George Eliot Review and the George Eliot-George Henry Lewes Studies Journal.

In addition to a novel based on George Eliot, he has published a dramatisation as well as a factual account of the life, trial, and hanging of his great, great grandmother in Coventry in 1849. He has recently played a major role in creating a George-Eliot-in-Weimar blog as a contribution to the 2019 bicentenary celebrations.
