Shoshana Milgram Knapp teaches literature and film at Virginia Tech.

Her publications on George Eliot include articles in Nineteenth-Century Fiction, Victorian Newsletter, and Slavic and East European Journal. She has also published articles on, among others, Hugo, Napoleon, George Sand, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Alexandra Kollontai, Victoria Cross, E. L. Voynich, Steinbeck, Richard Wright, Max Eastman, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Ayn Rand (about whom she is completing a book-length study).
